Built in 1903, this is a very pretty two storey house.
Upstairs accommodation includes a large shaded
terrace leading to a wooden-floored double bedroom
with en-suite bathroom. The old wine press has two
roof terraces which look out over the semi-circular
ridge of hills which partly encircle our village
of Gavalohori to the south.
The larger terrace faces south and west so you get
a great view of sunset over the surrounding olive
groves. There is also a courtyard, with barbecue and
garden furniture, to the side of the house, accessed
by french windows from the living room, which is
surrounded by stone walls making it totally private.
Gavalohori is still very much a working rural
village and with a long history reflected in its
buildings & archaeological sites. There is a
fascinating old olive mill, with original workings.
