The Homestead Guest Lodge is situated in the quiet village of Geluksberg surrounded by the beautiful Central and Northern Drakensberg. 24 rooms from family budget rooms, standard en-suite to deluxe and executive style with air conditioning. The lodge offers a choice of bed and breakfast, full board or self catering accommodation.

The unique location and facilities are just perfect for that special wedding and reception for +/-120 guests. The peaceful settings of the Lodge make it an ideal location for conferences combined with comfort and a relaxing after work environment.

For visitors interested in the historic Boer War Battlefields of Ladysmith, Spioenkop and Colenso these are close by for day trips. Group tours with qualified guides can be arranged for these and other historical locations. Visit the Spioenkop Nature Reserve, where you will see Rhinos, Giraffe, Zebra, and Wildebeest. Other locations include the Royal Natal National Park and Amphitheater, Cathedral Peak and Didima Valley, the Champagne Castle valley, Injisuthi valley and our own Tintwa and Middledale Pass valley, all unique and very beautiful with stunning scenic views and energetic or relaxing mountain walks.

The Royal Natal National Park
The park covers an area of 8000 hectares and is a great favourite with tourists especially for short walks and longer day hikes. Situated in the Northern Drakensberg, the most famous feature is the Amphitheatre rising 3000 feet over 5 kilometers. A fact which surprises many tourists to the Drakensberg is that the Tugela Falls is the second highest waterfall in the world falling 3110 feet over 5 drops.

Cathedral Peak and Didima Valley
The Cathedral Peak Area of the Drakensberg contains some of the most beautiful scenery with magnificent views from the top of 4x4 trail to Mikes Pass. There are numerous walks, climbs and trails including 4x4 with information available at the Mweni Cultural centre.

The San/Bushmen
The Giant's Castle area of the Drakensberg is rich in San Art Paintings and a visit to the Cave Museum showing San family life with clothes, tools and weapons is extremely interesting.
