There is no doubt that the B&B accommodation in South Africa rates amongst the best anywhere on the globe. For comfort, and fine hospitality Bed and Breakfast establishments rarely fall below a very high standard. Luxury 5 star with all the trimmings, mid priced B&B accommodation and cheap basic B&B's are available to fit your budget and holiday requirements.
Owners and staff are friendly and go out of their way to see that their guests enjoy their stay to the full. It is not unusual for guests to remain friends with owners of the B&B properties long after leaving, returning again at a later date.
Out of high season it is relatively easy to find accommodation in the cities and their suburbs at short notice, however during the months of December and January many are fully booked well in advance. If traveling to the smaller towns and villages one should always book in advance avoiding the possibility of having to extend the journey to find an alternative.
