About Jacobsbaai
Jacobsbaai (Jacobs Bay) is a beautiful small and quiet village just north of Saldanha Bay on the west coast of South Africa. Rocky outcrops, sandy beaches and cosy bays stretch for about 2 km. Strict building regulations have ensured the area remains unspoiled. To watch one of the spectacular sunsets while enjoying fine local seafood and a good South African wine from the peace and tranquility of Jacobsbaai is a magnificent experience on it's own. Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport are about one and a half hours drive on good roads. A leisurely drive along the coastal roads around Jacobsbaai reveal some spectacular views.
During the spring the local flora bursts into a delightful carpet of wild flower colour. Activities in the area include watersports, hiking, horse riding, whale and dolphin watching during July - December. For golfers there is a nearby course. Accommodation in Jacobsbaai includes self catering apartments, guest houses bed and breakfast and a hotel.
